Shady Hammock Baptist Church, is a
congregation of Bible believing, Christ loving servants of The Risen
Lord.
In recent years, SHBC has
experienced solid continued growth. The makeup of the congregation is
largely adult, and more specifically winter resident, with programs
designed to meet the needs of all age groups.
Theologically, the church is
conservative, adhering to: The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by
the Southern Baptist convention. June 14, 2000.
SHBC is a Pastor led local
church governed by the members of its congregation, acknowledging the
Lordship of Christ and the necessity of faithful surrender to the Holy
Spirit. The Church council, made of department heads, meets monthly to
discuss and prepare matters for presentation to the congregation
quarterly to vote on, which need congregational approval or action.
The financial condition of
SHBC is stable and debt free.
